Would love to replay that game on a home console
This is one of the best arcade games ever. I love how the game has guns and equipment straight out of the movies. It really sticks to the source material. I still play this one from time to time. I like to play as Linn.
I have a theory for why the Mad Predator(s) attacked the player:
Do you remember the Infectoids, enemies in the game that were humans being controlled by Xenomorphs that were inside them?
Well, what if the Mad Predator WAS an Infectoid? The Infectoids had little to no control over what they were doing and would even beg the player: "kill me!"
The infected Yautja only managed to briefly regain control once it was defeated, and killed itself and the Xenomorph controlling it.
I'm still looking for that AVP or Predator fighting game, not a beat em up but a fighting game like street fighter. I really did saw a cabinet of it in a local arcade many years ago. Strange enough it has the same "Mad Predator " as one of the characters.
They need to HD this and bring it back

My guess on why it was a normal chest-burster instead of a "Predalien" inside the 'Mad Predator", is because this game was made before Dark Horse comics entertained the idea of a Predalien hybrid in the first place.

This is the real Aliens VS Predator story. Imagine Dutch and Riplie teaming up feels good! Now the new movie The Predators took too much inspiration on the arcade game.

Shyt man I used to play this as a kid in 90’s at the Malibu Grand Pre Ahhhh good ass times nostalgia overload
I still love this arcade game. Great action and lots of fun to kick ass as a Predator. One of my brothers, a real tech wiz, set up computer in a home made cabinet exclusively to play arcade roms. My other brother came up with great short descriptions for games. For Alien vs. Predator he just, "Fight aliens as awesome Predators or boring humans!"
The bosses in AvP or their attack patterns are based on Final Fight bosses (Damd, Sodom, Abigail, Rolento)

One of the best winning poses was the Predator ripping off his mask and roaring for victory! MY GOD CAPCOM YOU ROCKED THE 90's!!!
I was awe strucked when I played this masterpiece in the arcades! Capcom not only delivered a beautiful game but its story was perfect for a film ! I hope someone realizes this plot still has potential!

That one predator looks like an angry marine. I think I could use digganobz and space marine parts to make predator models.
I've just played this right through on a modded xbox with final burn snk emulator.its a fantastic sci fi beat em up , really great atmosphere ,sound and graphics.probably even better as a two player ,some slight slowdown when there's a lot on screen .I highly recommend it .Your video summed up the game perfectly and it would be great to see a remake of sequel.
